Privacy policy

Lua Social is the app our clients use to send us photos and videos of their work. We edit them and post them to the client's own social media pages. This page explains what the app collects, why, and who it goes to.
What we collect
- Your cell number and business details (name, town, logo, brand colors), which we set up when you sign up with us. Your number is how you sign in; we text a one-time code to it.
- Photos, videos and voice recordings you send us through the app. We remove location (GPS) data from photos when they arrive.
- Captions we write and any changes you make to them, and the times your posts are scheduled.
- Messages you send us in the app's chat.
- A notification token for your phone, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when a post goes up or we reply.
- Basic activity such as when you signed in or sent a job, kept so we can fix problems.
We do not collect your contacts, your location, or anything from your camera roll that you don't choose to send. The app has no ads and no tracking for advertising.
How we use it
- To edit your photos and videos (color, cropping, slideshows, Reels, words on screen) and post them to the social media pages you connected with us.
- To show you how your pages are doing each week (views, likes, comments, followers).
- To share your Google reviews as posts when you ask us to.
- To talk with you, and to sign you in.
Who it goes to
- GoHighLevel / LeadConnector, the platform that holds your business account with us, schedules your posts and sends texts.
- Facebook, Instagram, Google and TikTok, only the posts you'd see on your own pages.
- Anthropic (the Claude AI model), which may look at your photos to help write captions. Anthropic does not use this to train its models.
- Expo, which delivers phone notifications.
- Hetzner, which hosts our server in Germany.
We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and the files you send while you're a client. If you delete your account in the app (Me, then Delete my account) or ask us to, we stop posting right away and delete your photos, videos, recordings and messages from our server within 30 days. Posts already published on your pages stay there until you remove them from those sites.
Security
Everything travels over encrypted connections. Sign-in uses one-time codes, never passwords, and we store only scrambled (hashed) versions of codes and sign-in tokens. Links to your files expire.
Children
Lua Social is for business owners and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
